Petite Team (Ages Kindergarten-5th Grade): 1pm-2:30pm

Senior Team (Ages 6th Grade -High School): 2:30pm -4pm

A Mandatory Cheer Clinic will be held for each age group. You must be in attendance at the cheer clinic to try out. This is where you will learn what you will be doing for the actual tryouts.

Petite – Thursday, May 16th – 4pm-6pm
Senior – Friday, May 17th – 4pm-6pm

Judges from outside the studio will be evaluating each cheerleader. All judges decisions are final.

Petite: 10am to 12pm

Junior: 1pm-3pm

Please come dressed in proper dance attire…a leotard and tights or a cute dance outfit is appropriate. Make sure your hair is pulled back securely in a bun or pony tail. Wear a little make-up and make sure you have the following shoes: ballet & jazz or foot undeez. Be prepared to do a series of skills like pirouettes, kicks, freestyle across the floor, some ballet barre work such as plies and tendus and learn a short combination. We will also ask you to demonstrate any tumbling skills you may have.

All petite dancers must have at least 2 years of dance experience to audition for the team or be invited by a teacher. All junior dancers must have at least 4 years dance experience or be invited by a teacher. All dancers must be current students or invited by a teacher to attend if coming from another studio.

Judges from outside the studio will be present to make the evaluations. The teachers will then apply their score concerning behavior, attendance and work ethic.

Be early to warm up for your particular time slot. A warm up will not be given. Make sure you use the restroom before you begin the audition and have water with you for water breaks when given.

Ballet & Hip Hop Master Classes

Davey Wofford, our guest artist from The Nutcracker, will be teaching a ballet and pointe master class this summer. Davey studied at the Alabama School of Fine Arts and has been dancing professionally ever since. We are fortunate to catch him before he heads off to California to pursue his career.

McKinley Harris, our newest staff member, will be teaching his special brand of street hip hop. McKinley has a special way of connecting with kids and we love his style!

Dancers of all ages are invited to attend the master classes. Petite would be grades 1^st-5^th and Junior/Teen/Senior would be grades 6^th and up.
